Stewardship

stewardshipEverything we have is a gift from God, which we are called to use wisely and to God’s glory. Quite simply, stewardship involves dedicating your whole life to God’s service. We give, not to earn God’s love or approval, but in response to the love which we experience in Christ.

Time and Talent: In our busy society and culture, time is often the most difficult gift to offer the church. But God has gifted you and called you to service. Every Sunday, needs and opportunities to serve are listed in the bulletin insert. You can respond to these requests by signing the back of the attendance sheet, sign-up sheets in the narthex or form provided below. Skilled labor of any sort is eagerly sought to maintain repair of our property and church building.

Money: The Bible teaches us to tithe — to give 10 percent of our income directly to the ministry of the church and to trust God’s providential care to meet the rest of our needs. Yes, this is a big step for most of us. But our finances are not exempt from God’s claim on our lives. Give as you are able and intentionally grow from there. And remember, God loves you as you are!

Prayer: A great gift everyone can offer the church is that of prayer. You don’t need fancy words or prescribed formulas — simply offer to God what’s on your heart and mind. Please pray daily for our congregation, our community, our world. We need it!

Simply Giving

Simply Giving is a program endorsed by Thrivent Financial Services for Lutherans. Instead of writing a check each Sunday, finding the offering envelope and then remembering to bring it to church, you can simply have your bank account drafted for a set dollar amount on certain dates. You can choose to give weekly, semi-monthly or on either the 1st or 15th of the month.

Caring People See and Imagine

The people of Christ the Lord have seen God’s wonderful hands working through our congregation over the years. We have seen him bless our outreach to people beyond our doors, touch the lives of our children, and give us different expressions of talent in worship. Now, we will imagine how God can and will work his wonderful deeds of grace through us. Join in hands and minds as we commit ourselves to a promised future given to us by God.

Electronic Giving

Christ the Lord Lutheran Church has expanded the Simply Giving Program options to now include the capability to accept credit / debit card donations.  Donations via credit/ debit cards can be processed as one-time transactions or as recurring transactions (weekly or monthly).  It’s your choice!  Please consider scheduling a credit / debit card contribution today.  You will no longer need to write out checks and prepare envelopes every week.  Even when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, your credit / debit card contributions will continue to be received on an uninterrupted basis.

Please consider making an Online Donation using your credit/debit card or printing and filling out the Simply Giving and submit it to our treasurer or to the church office.

If you have any questions about contributing to the church using your credit or debit card, please contact the church Treasurer, Robin Eggleston.

Some people have requested we post the Stewardship Pledge Table. This is informational. You should let your heart and God direct your giving in whatever ways you feel led.
