 Pastor Bob Mitchell |
Pastor Bob Mitchellbegan his service at Christ the Lord in 1984, immediately following his graduation from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Originally from East Tennessee, he is also a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He, his wife, and their three children live along the I-85 corridor and enjoy sporting activities, the lake, and family time. Pastor Bob oversees all areas of ministry, with special emphasis on preaching, staff development, stewardship, and property. |
Associate Pastor Julie Ehlers-Kingjoined our congregation in August 2007 as our Associate Pastor for Adult Education and Senior High Youth Ministries. A 2003 graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Pastor Julie and her husband Joshua live with their four children in Hoschton. In her free time, Julie enjoys reading, gardening and crafting. Pastor Julie has been teaching our Sunday morning “Pastor’s Class“, Thursday morning, Women’s Bible Study and in the summer leads a special Sunday School series for our high school youth. Pastor Julie is also leading the Caring People Ministry. |

Laura Bryant, Director of Music Ministryis our Director of Music Ministry and has been with Christ the Lord for more than 15 years. She began playing the piano at age three and began formal, classical training at age four. She grew up in Nebraska, but moved to Georgia as a teenager. She graduated from South Gwinnett High School and studied music at Georgia State University. She and John have been married since 1981 and they have two daughters. Away from work, Laura enjoys cooking, quilting and playing in the bands. |
Vickie Davis, Youth Directorhas served as our Youth Director since 1996, following two years of service as a volunteer. She and her husband have seven children and have been members of Christ the Lord since 1987. Vickie’s calm nature and organizational abilities are true assets as she works with our youth. She is also a gifted leader in synod and church-wide youth ministry. |

Keith James – Senior Youth MinistriesGrew up in the CTL congregation. After graduating from Collins Hill, he attended our sister college, Newberry College, in South Carolina. He graduated in 2009 with a degree in Religion and Philosophy with concentrations in Youth Ministry and Christian Education. While at Newberry, he was on staff at Lutheridge, Affirm and All-Georgia. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, following sports, watching TV and movies, and reading. |

Diane Thomas, Director of Children’s Ministriesand her family have been members at Christ the Lord since 1992. She has raised her three children in the welcoming environment of Christ the Lord. Diane became the Director of Children’s Ministry in 2001. Her bachelor’s degree in Child Development and volunteer experience with the children’s programming make her well suited for the position. Diane has taught both Vacation Bible School and the Wednesday evening Friends of Faith program. She has also served on the church council. |
Jenny Lanning, Director of New Member Ministriesjoined our staff in March of 2000 as our Director of New Member Ministries. Jenny has been in church work for many years, primarily in the area of Youth Ministry. A natural care giver, Jenny is that smiling face that welcomes you at the front door and sees you through the new member process. |

Julie Gulley, Parish Administratorhas served as our Parish Administrator for nearly 25 years and what a blessing she is! She is a charter member of the congregation and has been Lutheran all her life.
