Every two seconds someone in the U.S. receives a blood transfusion. The Red Cross needs 25,000 people nationally to donate blood each day to serve patients in need. Each unit of blood can help up to three people. The need for blood is constant. There is NO substitute for blood. If you are healthy and have not given blood in the last 56 days, you need to roll up your sleeve and give. It doesn’t cost you anything and you can help so many.
Next Blood Drive Scheduled for October 23
Please keep Sunday, October 23, open for the next blood drive at Christ the Lord. Fifty blood donors are needed to keep having the drives here at the church. This means that anyone who can give, please come between 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. We have a lot of gallon pins that will be given out in October, so watch for your name that will be posted in the narthex at church. A lot of people have given a gallon and have not been recognized, so we want to let everyone know that you are appreciated. Eat a good breakfast and drink some water before coming to the drive. Please come and give blood and help save someone’s life. If you have any questions, contact Donna Anderson.
